Santiago Canyon's Home Opener thrilled the fans with an impressive display of tough defense and great execution on offense. The Hawks scored an 88-64 victory over Cerritos College on Friday Night. SCC jumped out to an early 10-point lead, but saw the lead diminish to 2 points with 7 minutes to go in the half. The Hawks finished the half strong though and held a 37-27 advantage. Antoine Jenkins led all scorers with 15 points at the half. SCC made a strong push to open the second half and held a 20+ point advantage throughout the half. Jenkins led all scorers for the game with 32 points. Lucas Holden scored 15 points, Tyler Goodlow finished with 14 points, and David Agba scored 10 points. The Hawks are now 4-0 on the season. In the latest Massey Rating, the Hawks are 4th in California. They play next in the Pasadena City College Tournament this coming weekend.
