In an intriguing battle, the Hawks continued to build momentum towards the post-season with a 2-0 victory over a battling Fullerton Hornets team. SCC opened the scoring early in the first-half when Brianna Diaz hit a left-footed shot beyond the reach of the visiting keeper. Tara Hansel went close, and Ashley Roskelly had a goal disallowed, but the Hawks had to settle for a 1-0 lead at the break.
Hansel hit the post in the early-going of the second period, as SCC continued to dominate, but the Hawks did not find the second goal until late in the half. Ashley Roskelly was fouled and then converted the penalty. Arianna Radilla made 5 saves in completing the shut-out win.
