Nicole Lopez joins the Hawks coaching staff after completing her playing career at the University of Hawaii. Lopez was a decorated athlete during her 4-year tenure at UH.  She was a four-time All Big West selection, ranks 6th overall in program history with 37 career home runs, led the Big West Conference with 45 stolen bases and posted a .355 batting average her senior year. As a freshman, she was chosen as the Freshman Field Player of the Year by the Big West Conference. At the conclusion of her college career, Lopez was drafted as the 12th selection overall by Mobile USA. Lopez was born in Wahiawa, Hawaii and raised in Aiea, Hawaii and graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies: Leadership Studies. ​
