Cross Country Hits the Trails for Manny Bautista Invite
The Santiago Canyon College men's and women's cross country program traveled to San Diego, CA to compete in the Manny Bautista Invitational on Friday morning against fellow 3C2A competitors. The men placed 12th overall, while freshman Selah Darden held it down on the trails for the women.
Freshman Johan Chan Espejo led the way for the Hawks as he just finished outside the top-100. He finished at a time of 24:04.58. Freshman Christopher Selevos finished two positions behind at a time of 24:13.94.
Freshman Nicholas Villalobos earned a time of 25:55.91, while freshman duo Jacob Hallahan and Trevor Wong finished consecutively to land in the top 150. Hallahan worked towards a mark of 27:04.05, while Wong came in at 27:25.10.
Darden, who was the lone competitor on the women's side, finish 115th overall with a. time of 30:17.45.
