Cross Country Opens Season at Tour de Cuesta
The men's and women's cross-country teams traveled to San Luis Obispo, CA this past Friday to compete in the Tour de Cuesta. The men's side saw one Hawk land in the top 10 with the remainder of the participants completing the course with ease.
The men featured freshman Jack Nygren who made his inaugural debut. He shined by placing top-10 with a finishing clip of 23:19.3. He utilized an average mile time of 5:49.8 to earn seventh overall.
The women's side highlighted four runners with freshman Tiffany Easter pacing the pack. Her average mile time of 7:53.4 led her to a 13th place finish with an overall mark of 24:32.4.
Sophomore and 2023 All-Conference runner Amabelle Olmedo shined by placing 15th overall with a time of 24:48.7 complimented by an average mile mark of 7:58.7. Sophomore Elizabeth Ramirez placed 19th with a time of 25:53.4, while freshman Brittany Roque rounded out the competitors with a 23rd place finish after earned a clip of 32:35.9.
