Cross Country Continues to Improve Marks at Mt. SAC Invite
The Santiago Canyon College men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Walnut, CA to compete in the Mt. SAC Invitational on Friday morning. The Hawks competed against 21 community college programs and produced strong results.
The men were led by freshman Jack Nygren who placed 45th overall with a time of 23:08. Sophomore Trevor Wong followed along in 112th place with a clip reading 26:51 in a field of 150 runners. Wong's mark was drastically improved from his previous year's mark as he decreased his mark by two minutes and 29 seconds.
Freshman Tiffany Easter paced the women's team by placing 42nd overall after earning a time of 23:25. Freshman Brittany Roque followed close behind with a time of 27:05 which earned her 62nd place.
