Bio

Dwain Young grew up in Moreno Valley California and graduated from Canyon Springs High School in 1995.

Young has been coaching in Southern California and the Inland Empire areas for 15 years, starting with NJB Basketball for three years and moving on to coach AAU Club Basketball. Within two years, Young started his own program as Director and Head Coach of several teams including 13u, 14u and 17u teams. Young’s program consists of over 70 players from the ages of 10 to 17 years old.

Young moved on to become an Assistant Coach with Hillcrest High School in Riverside, CA. In his three years with the school, Hillcrest won the CIF-SS Championship in 2018, River Valley League Championships in 2018, 2019, and 2020, as well as making two state playoff appearances.

Coach Young just completed his second year with Santiago Canyon College as an Assistant Coach with the Men’s Basketball Team. SCC’s 2019-2020 team won the Orange Empire Conference Championship and earned a trip to the CCCAA Elite Eight.
