Hawks Pick Up Three Wins in Two Days
The Santiago Canyon College Softball Team got back to their winning ways with a 3-game win streak on the road this week.

The Santiago Canyon College Softball Team got back to their winning ways with a 3-game win streak on the road this week. On Tuesday, SCC traveled to Ventura College for a double header where they swept the Pirates with a 14-1 mercy rule win in game one and a 6-2 victory in game 2 of the day. On Wednesday, the Hawks completed the road trip with a game at Santa Barbara City College where they walked away with a 5-3 win.
In the first game of the day, Mystique Rocha picked up the win for the SCC throwing 6 complete innings with 4 strikeouts. Alyssa Enriquez led the Hawks offense going 4-for-4 with 4 RBI, and 2 doubles. Liliana Navarro went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI and 2 runs scored. Sabrina Rivera, Dana Demo and Isabelle Valdez added 2 hits each giving the Hawks a total of 16 hits in the game.
In the second game of the day, Isabelle Valdez and Lili Navarro continued their hot streak with 2 hits including a double and a triple from Valdez. Samantha Villanueva was also 2-for-4 with a run scored. Mystique Rocha put up another strong performance in the circle getting her second win of the day. She threw 7 complete innings allowing only 1 earned run.
The Hawks then traveled to Santa Barbara City College on Wednesday and came away with the third win in 2 days. Mystique Rocha added another win and posted a season high 8 strikeouts in 7 innings of work. Offensively, the Hawks were led once again by Liliana Navarro who was 3-for-4. Alyssa Enriquez drove in 2 runs going 1-for-2 on the day.
