Hawks Take Down Pirates

The Santiago Canyon College Softball Team defeated the Orange Coast College Pirates 7-2 in an Orange Empire Conference game. The win brings the Hawks overall record to 12-2 and 3-1 in Orange Empire Conference play.  Stella Turner improves to 8-1 on the season, throwing the complete game and recording the win. The Hawks had another perfect defensive day, bringing their fielding percentage to a state high .985. 

Offensively, the Hawks were led by Samantha Villanueva who was 3-for-3 with a double and 3 RBI's. The Hawks collected 14 total hits on the day. Liliana Navarro, Riley Piattoni, and Lindsey Marschall contributed 2 hits each. 

The Hawks continue OEC action on Friday with a 2pm game at Saddleback College.
