GAME ONE
The Hawks were held to a mere three hits and two runs throughout the game which was unfortunately complimented by an Antelope Valley squad that blasted three homeruns.
Sophomore right fielder Selena Salcido was the lone offensive threat as she clocked in a 2-for-3 day at the dish with two singles and a run scored. Sophomore center fielder Alyssa Patlan had the other hit leading to a 1-for-3 clip.
GAME TWO
The second contest was highlighted by a three-run top of the seventh inning after the Hawks were trailing 6-4 leading into the final frame of action.
Salcido drew a walk to begin the melee in the top of the seventh inning and quickly advanced to second on a single from freshman left fielder Tasneem Kerdiya. Lee, who earned the start as the designated player, launched an RBI double to send Salcido scurrying home.
Freshman shortstop Yazmine Garcia, who was the hero in an extra inning win over Golden West last Thursday, followed with a two-RBI single that scored T. Kerdiya and Lee to grab a 7-6 lead.
Lee, who entered the circle in the sixth inning, slammed the door in the final frame despite allowing a one-out double and a two-out single to threaten. She recorded a groundout and a flyout to seal the victory.
The bats woke up in the second game with Santiago Canyon squaring up 11 hits that featured four players with multi-hit games.
