Two goals from Keyla Fragoso (pictured) mid-way through the first-half, sent the Hawks on their way to victory over a tenacious Irvine Valley team. Courtney Carbajal was the provider for the first, neatly turning a pass in to Fragoso who finished tidily. Fragoso was then first to an Emily Baro through-ball over the back-line, beating the Irvine keeper to the ball to head home. Two minutes later Mimi Diaz-Casarrubias grabbed the third, with a cross-shot from the edge of the area. Just before half-time, Camryn Toole raced on to a ball from Diaz-Casarrubias and slotted the ball under the advancing keeper and into the far corner.
The visiting Lasers continued to compete in the second period and it wasn't until the 85th minute that Kahelelani Walsh followed in to give the Hawks their 5th and last score of the day.
Faith Huston and Kaitlyn Aguayo collected the shut-out in goal.
Next up for the Hawks is a visit to Santa Ana College on Friday, October 29th for a 3pm kick-off.
Thanks go out to all those in attendance today.
