Having not conceded a goal all season, Santiago Canyon conceded with in 30 seconds of the opening whistle, and could find no way back against a solid visiting Saddleback College team. In an even first-half, the Hawks closest moment fell to Courtney Carbajal (pictured), who hit the cross bar with a shot on the turn.
In the second period. SCC dominated proceedings, but despite creating some clear-cut opportunities, could not turn their pressure in to goals. Saddleback survived a handball non-decision on the hour mark and Camryn Toole, Mimi Diaz Casarrubias, Nikki Marino and Cassie Lewis all went close to scoring for the Hawks. Later on, Kylee Medlin saw her header come back off the bar but SCC could not find a way through.
Santiago Canyon will return to action on Friday, November 5th, when they'll look to bounce back at home to Fullerton College. Kick-off is at 3pm.
