Hawks Past and Present Lead the Way During High School Season
Now the winter high school sports season has come to an end, there is an opportunity to recognize alumni, current players and coaches who have given back to the game through coaching high school soccer. Pictured is alumni Evelyn Gomez, Head Coach of Tustin High School Girls soccer, 2009 National Champion and current Assistant Coach for the Hawks.
In the North Hills section of the Century Conference, 2016 alumni Karina Gomez was an Assistant Coach for El Modena High School Varsity. The Vanguards competed against the Yorba Linda Mustangs where current Hawk Kaitlyn Aguayo was also on the sidelines as an Assistant Varsity Coach. Further south in Orange County, 2018 alumni Tori Phillips assisted for San Juan Hills Varsity, while fellow 2018 graduatesEmma Carton, Jessica Neighbors and Suki Suphum led the respective JV and Frosh-soph teams of Foothill, Edison and Esperanza. The Hawks 2021 Most Valuable Offensive Player Summer Stewart, co-coached the Huntington Beach Oilers JV team.
Kat Benton (2006 alumni) and Luli Bethancourt (2018 alumni) lead the way in to 2022 where Kat will continue as an Assistant Coach at Kansas State University and Luli will assist at Hope International University.
