In a game, moved from LA Harbor to SCC, the home team dominated from the kick-off against a valiant Seahawks team. Alyssa Rubio connected with Cassie Lewis who beat her defender to convert on 5 minutes. Rubio then doubled the lead on the half-hour mark to take the Hawks in to half-time two goals up.
After the break, Nikki Marino extended the lead 5 minutes in to the period after hitting the post earlier. Camryn Toole was then felled inside the area for Rubio to close-out the contest from the penalty spot. Rubio then returned the favour as Toole scrambled home the fifth.
Savanna Prado (pictured) collected another shut-out in goal.
Thanks go out to the Hawks following who were able to adjust their schedules to make the early start time. Next up for the Hawks is a trip to Antelope Valley College on Tuesday, September 20th. Kick-off time is 4pm.
