The Hawks earned a 2-0 home victory against visiting Cypress College with two first half goals from Camryn Toole (pictured) and Alyssa Rubio.
SCC opened the scoring on 4 minutes when an incisive move resulted in Nikki Marino playing a cross-field pass behind the Chargers backline.
Toole ran on to the pass and rounded the advancing goalkeeper before slotting home to put the Hawks a goal-up.
The Hawks continued to push for the second, and on 31 minutes Aubrey Bryant overlapped down the left and fed Rubio whose shot from distance angled across the keeper into the far corner.
SCC were only denied further by some fine stops by the visiting goalkeeper. Savanna Prado in goal collected the shut-out after a late push by the Chargers as the game clock wound down.
